About the role
Description
Looking for a part-time veterinary receptionist role where your client service skills make a difference? Bayshore Animal Clinic is seeking an experienced, compassionate, and organized Veterinary Receptionist / Veterinary CSR to support our front desk team and deliver an exceptional experience for pets and their people.
Schedule: 2 days per week — Mondays and Fridays, with the opportunity to pick up a third day as scheduling needs arise.

What You'll Be Doing
• Previous veterinary reception, veterinary CSR, veterinary client service, or animal hospital experience strongly preferred.
• Strong customer service, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organization, attention to detail, and accurate data entry.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in a busy veterinary environment.
• Comfort with computers and learning veterinary practice management software.
• Dependability, compassion, teamwork, and a willingness to learn.
• Comfort working around dogs, cats, and other companion animals.
What We're Looking For
• Previous veterinary reception, veterinary receptionist, veterinary client service, or veterinary hospital experience preferred but not required
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Comfortable answering phones and assisting multiple clients in a busy environment
• Strong computer skills and ability to learn veterinary practice management software
• Excellent attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain professional in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working with dogs, cats, and other companion animals
• Compassionate, dependable, team-oriented, and willing to learn
• Ability to lift and carry up to 30–50 pounds when needed

Bayshore Animal Clinic is an AAHA-accredited practice that has served the south Tampa community since 1984. We are also Fear Free Certified Professionals and Cat Friendly Program Practitioners. Our hospital includes a state-of-the-art surgical suite and advanced surgical equipment that enable us to perform a wide range of surgical procedures including elective surgery, orthopedic surgery, soft tissue surgery, and corrective ophthalmic surgery. Our dentistry suite has two modern dental units to provide ultrasonic scaling, digital radiographs, and drilling for extractions when needed. Our on-site x-ray and ultrasound equipment enable us to take radiographs of our patients while our clients wait. We offer both abdominal and cardiac ultrasound services and partner with an internal medicine specialist when needed.
