This role involves working closely with both educators and students in a classroom that requires a high level of support, helping to foster a safe and positive environment for learning and personal growth. The position follows a consistent daily schedule from 8:45am to 4:00pm, offering a balanced routine within the school community.

To be considered, you will need:

• Two years of college credits from an accredited institution, an associate degree or higher, OR a passing score on an approved formal academic assessment (such as ParaPro, ParaPathways, or The Master Teacher)

• Alternatively, meet competencies listed in the MDE approved competency grid

• Either hold a PCA certificate or be willing to obtain one (complimentary; takes less than an hour)

• At least one year of professional experience working with school-aged children

• Preferred: a minimum of two years in a school-based paraprofessional setting

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting students individual learning goals and personal care needs in a high-needs focus classroom

• Collaborating with teachers and specialists to adapt materials and activities for accessibility and success

• Assisting in implementing behavior plans and classroom routines

• Building positive relationships with students, staff, and families
