Sr Export Compliance Officer - Honeywell

In this role you will oversee global export and sanctions compliance activities to minimize risk and maintain operational continuity. You will work closely with cross-functional teams and SAP GTS to resolve holds and screening alerts, driving timely, compliant transactions. You help shape a robust sanctions screen and export-control program within a mission-critical industrial environment. Responsibilities
• Perform first-level Sanctioned Party Screening (SPL) reviews using SAP GTS and related tools; differentiate false positives from real risks
• Conduct due diligence on transaction parties and review information to support risk-based decisions
• Escalate elevated-risk matches to the Sanctions Compliance Team for secondary review and approval
• Maintain accurate documentation and audit trails for screening activities and determinations
• Monitor screening queues to ensure timely review and resolution of holds
• Utilize SAP GTS to review SPL, embargo, and export compliance blocks; support investigation and resolution of transaction holds impacting orders
• Coordinate with business stakeholders to gather data for hold releases and compliance determinations
• Verify data accuracy in SAP GTS and assist with master data issue corrections impacting compliance screening
• Assist with system testing, process improvements, and user acceptance for GTS enhancements
• Serve as primary contact for SPL alerts, export holds, and compliance inquiries; support audits and evidence collection
• Support governance and continuous improvement efforts in compliance processes; contribute to training materials and standardization initiatives

Key requirements xklufbp
• 5+ years of experience in Export Compliance, Trade Compliance, Global Trade Services, Logistics Compliance, or related areas
• 1 year of experience with SAP GTS or similar trade compliance platforms
• 1 year of experience performing sanctions screening, restricted party screening, or export transaction reviews
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders across functions
• Attention to detail and structured thinking
• SAP GTS proficiency
• Microsoft Excel and Office applications
• Knowledge of U.S. export regulations (EAR, ITAR, OFAC) and international sanctions programs
