About the role

About the Role

Swiztech Automotive is a growing independent shop specializing in trucks, heavy-duty vehicles, and general auto repair (including mobile service). We’re looking for a reliable, customer-focused Service Writer / Admin to help run the front end of the business.

You’ll be the main point of contact for customers—writing repair orders, building estimates, explaining work clearly, and handling the administrative side so our technicians can stay focused on the vehicles. This is a hands-on, multi-tasking role in a practical shop environment.

Schedule & Pay

• Part-time: approximately 25 - 30 hours per week (schedule to be discussed; some flexibility possible)

• Pay: $24–$26 per hour depending on experience

• Starting part-time with potential to grow as the business expands

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers (in person or by phone/text) and accurately document vehicle concerns

• Write repair orders and create clear, accurate estimates

• Explain recommended repairs, timelines, and costs in plain language

• Schedule appointments and coordinate with technicians

• Update customer and vehicle records in our shop management system (Shop Boss Pro)

• Handle invoicing, payments, follow-up calls, and general administrative tasks

• Keep the front counter and related paperwork organized

• Support other light admin duties as needed to keep the shop running smoothly

• Order parts for up coming jobs

• Receive and organize parts for technicians

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills

• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks

• Comfortable with computers and data entry

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and professional

• Previous experience as a service writer, service advisor, or in an auto shop/admin role is a plus but not required

• Basic understanding of automotive repairs is helpful but we can train the right person

• Valid driver’s license preferred
