About Us

Walker Design is an Orlando-based architecture, planning, and interior design studio focused on commercial work. Led by Toby Walker, AIA, LEED AP, our team creates collaborative, responsible architecture that balances the needs of our clients, the context of each site, and the community around it. From breweries like Crooked Can Brewing Company in Minneola to workplace environments for major corporate clients, our projects help businesses grow and bring people together. Recognized in the Orlando Business Journal Fast 50, we’re growing quickly, and we’re looking for an organized, people-focused Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to help keep our studio running smoothly as we evolve.

You’ll keep the front desk welcoming, manage incoming calls and communication, and handle the administrative work that lets our architects and designers stay focused on design. By connecting people with the right team member and keeping project records organized, you’ll help our commercial clients get timely answers and keep projects moving on schedule.

• Schedule client meetings, site visits, design reviews, and consultant coordination meetings, and manage calendars for the design team

• Support client communication, including follow-ups, meeting reminders, and routing questions to the right project lead

• Organize and maintain project files, drawings, contracts, and correspondence, both digital and physical

• Complete data entry, typing, word processing, proofreading, and filing with close attention to detail

• Assist with proposals, project documents, and permit-related paperwork as needed

• Maintain spreadsheets and records, and support basic invoicing and bookkeeping in QuickBooks

• Coordinate office supplies, vendor contacts, and day-to-day studio operations

• Take on new administrative projects as the firm grows and needs evolve

Skills and Qualifications

• Strong customer service, organizational, and time management skills

• Comfortable with computers and common office tools, and quick to learn new software

• Office, clerical, or administrative experience is helpful; personal assistant experience is a plus

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and QuickBooks is preferred

• Experience with front desk duties, multi-line phones, and client communication is valuable

• Experience in writing checks and helping with overall financials.

• Interest in architecture, commercial design, or construction is a bonus but not required

• Bilingual ability is a plus
