Full Time or Part Time afternoon position, 15-25 hours per week, Monday - Friday, 3pm -10pm, with possible additional weekend hours available. Additional flexibility on hours depending on the candidate's schedule.
Summary
As a Warehouse Associate, you will be integral to our manufacturing operations, ensuring efficient materials handling and inventory management. You will start by learning how to pack orders accurately for shipment, and then learn how to apply material to our foam cushions as the final step of our manufacturing process. Additional position available as a foam cutter using our industrial equipment (great position for math/engineering students). As you master each of these areas, you may also learn to operate our cutting/saw machinery. You will contribute to a safe and productive work environment by keeping the warehouse clean and organized. Your relevant skills in packaging and heavy lifting will further enhance our team's ability to meet operational goals and deliver exceptional service. Ability to use a tape measure correctly and accurately is required for this position. DO NOT APPLY if you can not use a tape measure to accurately measure down to the 1/4 and 1/8 of an inch. We will test this skill during your interview.

• Must have strong attention to detail and be able to complete a list of tasks independently.

• Must be physically strong, able to lift 75 lbs. independently, and larger items with team assistance. Position may include some truck loading/unloading (up to 20 minutes per day).

• This is team-oriented warehouse role, you must also be a strong team player to contribute to all aspects of the operation. The idea of "it's not my job" is not an option. Responsibilities and Duties

• Accurately measure cushions with a tape measure to make sure they have been cut to the correct dimensions.

• Apply wrap to cushions using a glue gun

• Pack orders for shipment by closely following directions and instruction

• Create pallets for shipping of large orders

• Custodial work and warehouse cleanup

• Use our foam saws to cut foam cushions

• Use baler to bale scrap foam

• Measure and put away scrap material for later use

• Use shredder to shred scrap foam for customer products.

• Must be reliable to be on time and at work on a daily basis. Must work at a consistent and quick pace to maximize production quality and efficiency.

• Occasional truck unloading with the rest of the production team

• Potential for more hours, weekend/overtime work, and for advancement to more senior positions for candidates that succeed in this role.

Qualifications and Skills

• On-time arrival and very strong attendance are required for this role. DO NOT APPLY if you can not be at work consistently and on-time.

• Prior manufacturing production and/or warehouse experience a plus

• You must have a strong attention to detail and be the kind of person who can identify and solve problems, and can work productively without constant supervision.

• Must be able to use a tape measure accurately. DO NOT APPLY if you do not have this skill.

• Hard worker, ability to lift some heavy objects, up to 70 lbs.

• Positive attitude, wants to learn new skills and advance.
