About Us

Cary Smiles is growing general dental practice in the Raleigh/Cary area with a small, close-knit team. We offer comprehensive general dentistry along with full-mouth rehabilitation and surgical implant cases. As we expand, we’re looking for an experienced, organized Lead Dental Assistant who wants to grow with us and help shape our clinical team.

What You’ll Do
• Lead the clinical team to keep the schedule running smoothly: patients seated on time, rooms set up and ready, and supported the doctor so procedures flow without delays
• Assist chairside on general, restorative, and implant procedures
• Perform DA II delegated functions under the dentist’s supervision, such as impressions, temporaries, sealants, coronal polishing, and suture removal
• Serve as infection control coordinator, managing sterilization, spore testing, waterline testing, and OSHA logs
• Train and onboard new assistants, and build the weekly assistant schedule
• Manage clinical inventory, ordering, equipment maintenance, and lab case tracking
• Run the morning huddle with the front office and make sure unscheduled treatment gets handed off

What We’re Looking For
• NC Dental Assistant II classification (required)
• Current CPR certification and NC radiology certification (required)
• Coronal polishing certification (required); nitrous monitoring a plus
• At least 2 years of chairside experience; lead or training experience preferred
• Implant or full-mouth rehab experience a plus
• 3D printing experience a plus
• Familiarity with different practice managment softwares and digital imaging
• Calm under pressure, detail-oriented, and a clear communicator who holds a high standard
