Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) will engage in the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation, and evaluation) to deliver personalized nursing care to residents. You will collaborate with residents, their families, and other interdisciplinary colleagues, including providers, to plan, implement, and assess care. This role requires competency and adherence to established nursing standards tailored to the specific needs of residents at different stages of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, and treatment. You will also coordinate care, assess residents, provide education, and perform various nursing interventions.

You may serve as the charge nurse, delegating appropriate tasks to licensed and unlicensed assistive personnel based on their job descriptions, skills, resident care needs, and competence. It is essential to provide support to ensure the safe and effective administration of care and address any concerns related to service.

As an RN, you will function within the scope and standards of nursing practice as mandated in the Nurse Practice Act and state regulations. You are expected to embody the ethical standards and principles that guide nursing care, as articulated by the American Nurses Association.

Qualifications

Applicants should have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program and hold an unencumbered RN license in the state of practice, or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. A Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is preferred. Maintaining required competencies and certifications specific to the department is also necessary.

Depending on qualifications, benefits may include health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, life insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, work/life balance programs, and a generous time-off package to support a healthy work-home balance.

Good Samaritan is an EEO/AA Employer. We uphold a Drug-Free Workplace Policy, and an accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background check.
