Driver Laborer (PW) - Sunset Hills Missouri

Incorporated in 1957 Sunset Hills is an attractive stable community conveniently located in southwest St. Louis County in close proximity to many regional sites and amenities. Sunset Hills is served by the prestigious Lindbergh School District and boasts an extensive park system and high quality recreational facilities.

The City is seeking a Driver/Laborer. The Driver/Laborer performs a variety of manual labor assignments involving street construction maintenance and repair.

Principle Duties Include:
• Load and unload materials and other tasks requiring heavy physical labor.
• Participate in trash and snow removal projects.
• Clean maintain and paint equipment.
• Maintain public rights-of-way via asphalt and concrete placement.
• Maintain public rights-of-way and city property via grass cutting weed control and tree removal.
• Erect street signs.
• Clean storm sewer catch basins culverts drains and ditches.
• Operate a snowplow and various construction equipment.
• Drive a truck for hauling materials such as dirt sand salt etc.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must maintain a valid current drivers license and have a minimum of a Class E license within 2 weeks of employment with the City of Sunset Hills.
• Must be willing to obtain a Class B CDL within 6 months of employment with training provided by the City of Sunset Hills.
