Data Collection Team Lead – AR/VR

Overview

We are looking for a Data Collection Team Lead with excellent communication, time management, organizational, and data analysis skills to join our Augmented Reality / Virtual Reality (AR/VR) team. This role focuses on managing research collections with participants, designed to validate the engineering approach for AR/VR-enabled products.

You will evaluate participant feedback and make recommendations to the AR/VR product teams that inform design strategies and engineering approaches. You will also develop analytical methods for consolidating data inputs and collating user feedback to help guide the technical requirements of the product team.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end success of the program, from data collection, data review, and visualization to client reporting and technical issue troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

(not limited to)

Project Coordination
• Plan initial scope and gather requirements for new projects or device iterations.
• Conduct protocol reviews and drive go/no-go decisions for workstreams.

Scheduling Coordination
• Coordinate with the scheduling team on refresher training.
• Raise needs for additional headcount to be trained.
• Resolve spacing between collections.
• Provide final sign-off on collection readiness.

Metrics & Reporting
• Produce metrics and trend reporting for QBRs, MBRs, and weekly meetings with the PGM.

Engineer Coordination
• Call out issues, communicate protocol updates, and share operational suggestions.
• Maintain the feedback loop, clarify tasks, and handle experimental requests.

Project Infrastructure & Risk
• Create project infrastructure and processes.
• Conduct project risk assessment and mitigation.

Team & Program Leadership
• Manage PA (participant/proctor associate) activities.
• Lead project meetings and demos.
• Train new hires.

Business Justification

Project Leads coordinate, train, and drive all aspects of data collection, demonstrating deep expertise and acting as the main point of contact for their specific projects.

Qualifications & Experience
• Graduate in any field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in big data collection management (preferred).
• Strong experience in Excel (in a manual environment).
• Good knowledge of handling various mobile phones and other tech devices (tablets, laptops, etc.).
• Experience working with ticket management platforms (raise, review, approve, follow-up, close, report).
• Experience collaborating with teams across geographies and functions.
• Experience managing teams, setting goals, and conducting performance reviews.
