Assistant Childcare Teacher

We are currently looking to hire one full-time assistant childcare teacher (32+ hours per week) to work between the hours of 8AM - 5:30PM, Monday - Friday. We are also hiring a part-time employee to work varied afternoon hours between 2pm - 5:30pm.

Responsibilities of an assistant childcare teacher:

• Assist classroom teachers in supervision and management of a group of children

• Interact with and encourage children in daily activities

• Assist in preparing and serving meals, promote learning by sitting and talking with children during mealtimes

• Help with general housekeeping tasks around the center

• Attend required staff meetings and continuing education trainings

• Help build a supportive and caring team, by being flexible, responsible, helpful, and kind

Recommended Qualifications:

• Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies

• Strong communication skills

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children
