In this AI Sales Engineer role, you drive the technical execution and pre‑sales support for Fortinet’s AI Security solutions. You partner with regional teams to shape GTM strategy, enable engineers, and lead technical engagements from discovery through deployment. You’ll help customers deploy AI security in self‑hosted environments, manage demos and POCs, and train partners to close opportunities. This role combines deep security know‑how with hands‑on AI/ML tech to protect AI applications at scale and in real environments.

Responsibilities
• Partner with AI Sales Specialist to shape and execute regional GTM for AI Security
• Enable regional Sales Engineers with product capabilities and live demos
• Provide technical discovery, architecture deep dives, and POCs throughout the sales cycle
• Assist customers with deploying AI Security in self-hosted environments
• Manage demo environments, certifications, and training materials
• Engage channel and reseller partners to enable them to close opportunities
• Collaborate with internal teams to qualify and close AI Security business
• Lead customer‑facing engagements including architecture reviews, evaluations, and demonstrations
• Facilitate post‑sales handovers for successful deployment and ongoing success
• Build trusted relationships with CTOs, CISOs, and enterprise AI leaders
• Act as an AI evangelist to educate customers on agentic AI best practices and secure deployment

Key requirements
• Bachelor degree in electrical engineering, computer science, data science, information systems, or related technical field
• 5+ years of technical sales experience, including at least 2 years in AI or related tech
• Experience engaging with technical evaluators (cloud/AI security engineers, data scientists, AI/ML architects)
• Solid understanding of core AI technologies (machine learning, deep learning, generative AI)
• Hands-on experience xklufbp with Docker and containerized workloads; Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, or equivalent)
• Strong knowledge of AI security concepts (access controls, identity management, network integration, EDR, red-teaming, guardrails)
• Familiarity with popular agentic AI tools and AI infrastructure implications
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Experience deploying production apps on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Ability to travel up to 50%
