3rd Shift Production Team Lead

Job Description:

PermaBASE Building Products in Clinton, Indiana, is a cement board manufacturer seeking a motivated and hands-on Team Lead to oversee production operations on 3rd shift. This position is responsible for leading production associates while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, and operational goals are achieved.

The Team Lead serves as a working leader and is expected to lead by example, maintain a strong safety culture, provide coaching and direction to employees, and ensure the efficient operation of the manufacturing process.

Set 8-hr shift with opportunities for overtime. 3rd Shift scheduled hours are 11:00 PM – 7:30 AM. This role requires flexibility to support production operations outside of regularly scheduled hours, including overtime and weekend work when necessary.

Essential Responsibilities
• Lead and direct production associates on assigned shift
• Promote and maintain a strong safety culture
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures
• Meet production, quality, and efficiency goals
• Monitor manufacturing processes and troubleshoot operational issues
• Coach, train, and develop team members
• Conduct daily production oversight and verification of production records
• Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained throughout the facility
• Assist with employee evaluations, disciplinary actions, and performance improvement efforts
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Shipping, Quality, HR, and Plant Management to support plant operations
• Operate equipment and provide production support as needed
• Complete inspections, reports, and required documentation accurately and on time

Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Valid drivers license required
• 2 Years Manufacturing leadership, supervisory, or team lead experience required
• Prior manufacturing or industrial production experience required
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate employees in a team environment
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Forklift experience preferred (training available)
• Basic computer skills required
• Ability to stand, walk, climb, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds
