Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced CVICU RN with CRRT, Swan-Ganz, and mechanical circulatory support (MCS) experience for a night shift position requiring a UT or compact RN license.

Requirements

• Active UT or compact RN license required (pending license accepted but must be in hand prior to start)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of CVICU RN experience required
• Required experience with CRRT, Swan-Ganz, and mechanical circulatory support (MCS)
• Experience with Impella, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, and ECMO required
• Epic charting experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, arterial line management, blood product administration, central and PICC line care
• Experience managing ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, ABG interpretation, and suctioning
• Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, continuous IV sedation, and procedural sedation monitoring
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, and multisystem organ dysfunction care

Responsibilities

• Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) setting
• Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:30-7:00), with rotating day/night possible
• 16-week assignment length
• Uses Epic for charting
• Provide critical care nursing to post-cardiac surgery and complex cardiovascular patients
• Up to 10 days RTO available per 13-week contract, prorated for other contract lengths
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Previous full-time employees of the facility are not eligible to return as travelers under any circumstances
• Local candidates not accepted; must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• Candidates living within the state of Utah are considered local and are not eligible
